Code of Conduct

Welcome to the Make a Difference Summer Camp!
We are excited to have you join us. To ensure everyone has a positive experience, please follow these simple guidelines focused on respect, safety, and responsibility.

1. Respect for Others
Treat all campers, staff, and volunteers with kindness, courtesy, and respect. Embrace differences, listen to others, and celebrate diversity.

2. Zero Tolerance for Disrespect
Disrespectful behavior—such as bullying, physical aggression, or verbal abuse—will not be tolerated and may result in immediate consequences, including suspension or dismissal from camp.

3. Commitment to Safety
Follow all camp safety rules, report unsafe situations, and participate responsibly in activities. Always stay with your group or counselor and use camp equipment as instructed.

4. Personal Responsibility
Take responsibility for your actions, respect others' belongings, and follow staff directions. Be a positive role model for your peers.

5. Respect for the Environment
Keep your area clean, dispose of trash properly, and respect nature and camp property.

Consequences for Violations
Failure to follow the Code of Conduct may result in verbal warnings, meetings with a camp director, temporary activity removal, or suspension from camp.

Liability Waiver

Acknowledgment of Risks and Waiver of Liability

By participating in the Make a Difference Summer Camp, I acknowledge that camp activities carry inherent risks, including physical injury. While staff will make every effort to ensure safety, accidents may occur. I understand that my child is expected to follow all camp rules, including treating others with respect and prioritizing safety. Disrespectful behavior or unsafe actions may lead to disciplinary measures, including dismissal from camp.

Release of Liability

I release the Make a Difference Summer Camp, its staff, and volunteers from liability for injuries, damages, or losses incurred during camp activities, even if caused by negligence. I also agree to indemnify the Make a Difference Summer Camp for any claims arising from my child’s participation. Additionally, I consent to emergency medical treatment if needed, with the understanding that I will be contacted as soon as possible.

Health and Safety Acknowledgment

I confirm that my child is physically capable of participating in camp activities and will notify the camp of any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs.

By checking the box on the next page, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this waiver.
